Ronald Lee Hillier

Ronald Lee Hillier, age 54, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014, in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was born on September 26, 1959 in Hinsdale, Illinois to Lavern and Judy Hillier. Ron was an extraordinary man. With loved ones all together, we could surely write a book about him, and it would be the best book you ever read. He was the toughest guy around, “Nobody messes with my family” He would say, and everyone was family to Ron. Beneath the tough exterior he loved with the most sincere and tender love. Others needs went before his own. He showed his love through kind acts of service and generosity. He’d say, “Just tell me what you need, I’ll get it done”. Ron was full of humor and kept us all laughing with his quick-wit. He just had to smile and you were infected with his happiness. He had a way about him. Happy is how he left people. What a great man, enormously loved by all! He was a skilled electrician and carpenter. There was nothing he couldn’t do or handle. He was the handiest man around. He got that from Vern, his dad. He loved golf, fishing, hunting and sports. He would be cutting up and joking no matter what he was doing. There was never a dull moment with him. He was a caring and sweet husband, faithful son, loyal brother, loving father and an amazing PAPA, uncle, neighbor and friend. Ron Hillier will be missed greatly, but never forgotten. We all loved him so much. Ron is survived by his wife: Julie Hillier, children: Tanya Hoover (Tom); Brandi Hillier; Crystal Simpkins, grandchildren: Dawsyn, Anlee, Summer and Nora Hoover, father: Vern Hillier, siblings: Brian Hillier; Michelle Fogg; Tom Hillier; Jeff Hillier (Crystal); and Chris Hillier. He was preceded in death by his mother: Judy Hillier. There will be a memorial service on Friday, June 6, 2014, 5:30pm at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring with Pastor Chuck Whiteside officiating. Family will receive friends beginning at 4:30pm.
